Dear Client.. As our modern lifestyles and environments become more pressured, it is increasingly important for men and women to take their personal skin care seriously. The notion of regarding skin care and professional salon treatments as unnecessary indulgences is now outdated and has been replaced by a healthy intent to combat the external influences which wreak havoc on our complexions, prematurely ageing us. More than ever, we eat processed food or fresh food grown with artificial fertilisers and sprayed with chemicals; we are subject to the negative effects of the greenhouse syndrome and thinning of the ozone layer - ie hotter, more humid weather and increasing ultraviolet sunlight. All these elements do intense damage to our skin and general health. This shows up in the thirties, if not sooner. |
In an age of highly developed medical science we certainly live longer, but are we healthier too? At the same time, the cosmetic industry has reached dizzying levels of scientific sophistication, creating products designed to treat very specific skin problems. With these factors in mind, it is imperative to have your skin and general health periodically diagnosed professionally and to occasionally adjust your treatments in step with science.
Combining the following treatments, you will have the most effective approach to date in
ageing, yet retaining your youth Facials
Facials are specific treatments appropriate to your skin's current needs and may include peeling and deep cleansing, steaming, brow shaping, soothing massage and masks. The benefits of massage are well documented. Massage revitalises the mind and metabolism, reduces tension and increases the ability to cope with stress. It moves the lymphatic system, thus aiding the elimination of wastes and toxins, plus it prepares the skin for optimum absorption of creams and serums.
Rena Kan uses the latest elos™ LASER
technology for specialised treatments:
skin rejuvenation
permanent hair removal
spider veins
pigmentation
The laser is based on a unique technology which utilizes the synergy of electrical energy and light to treat skin problems and to remove hair more gently and effectively than any other system.
Problem Skin Care
Puberty can cause havoc with skin. Left untreated, perhaps in the hope the young person "will grow out of" the spots or acne may be a cruel condemnation. Acne can cause emotional scars at the time and physical scars later on. But the "thirty somethings" have problems too. At Rena Kan we can lessen the severity of angry skin eruptions and reduce the infections to prevent later scars. Sound advice about cleansing and diet leads to improved control and lasting awareness about skin care. The result is a boost to self esteem, a precious commodity when adolescent hormones are running amok.
Regenerating Treatments
Ageing is a natural and inevitable part of the life cycle. Therefore, giving your skin a rejuvenating holiday or cure once or twice a year, besides your monthly facial, is an excellent prevention against premature ageing.
The cure may consist of collagen sheet treatments combined with dermabrasion, or single treatments of each. Even skin which has been seriously neglected will enjoy an improvement after a series of these treatments.
RenaKan provides LASER (dual elos technology) treatments for skin regeneration, speeding up cell renewal and boosting collagen production in the connective tissue .
Also available are a series of bio-molecule treatments which are ultra-sound infused.
The Ultrasound is designed for face and body use and has two impulse frequencies. It is used for:
- LINES. A regenerative ampoule is applied beneath the contact gel to penetrate deeply into skin to swiftly and gently reach the target area, gradually lifting away lines.
- ACNE. A specially developed anti-acne infusion is introduced into skin that has been decongested and cleared using Ultrasound. The combined therapy which is followed by a mask, reduces sebum production and heals tissue.
- CONGESTED SKIN. Ultrasound stimulates lymph flow and opens the spaces between cells so Skin can be decongested and toxins can be easily carried away.
- CELLULITE. An ultrasonic infusion rich in bio-molecules and plankton has been developed to target cellulite. Salon ultrasonic treatments are supported by a home care product. Renate Kanitz-Birnbaum produced excellent results on herself in just two weeks using this dual system.
- SCARS. By decongesting the skin tissue around the scar and building healthy new tissue cells, scars and deep lines are lifted, looking less deep and less coloured.
- ENLARGED CAPILLARIES. Ultrasound frees up calcified blood vessels to activate blood flow diminishing redness.
- EPILATION. Hair reduction.
Facial Muscle Gymnastic
(F.M.G. Technique)
This remarkable rejuvenation technique is unique to the Rena Kan Salon. Comprising a steady, firm manipulation of the facial muscles, the FMG technique works on the principle of counterpoint pressure. When you have an FMG, you respond to the therapists movements by pulling your facial muscles in the reverse direction.
Afterwards, your face feels as if it has had a vigorous but enjoyable workout.
With regular application, the benefits in terms of slowing the ageing process and retaining elasticity of the skin and muscles can be dramatic.
Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion is the deliberate peeling, scouring or polishing away of surface skin to stimulate hastened production of fresh new cells. Dermatologists and beauty therapists use a variety of techniques including acid applications to achieve brilliant results but not until now has a totally controllable and gentle version of the process been available. It is a chemical-free technique and uses aspirated sterile corundum crystals to erase fine wrinkles, enlarged pores, scars, non-genetic skin discolouration and stretch marks.
The major benefit is the design which allows precise control of depth of peeling. This eliminates the infection risk, redness and pain associated with other skin peeling methods.
Collagen Sheets
This treatment takes 50 minutes to one hour. The collagen sheet is modulated on to the skin and moistened with water or a collagen ampoule. It is left on the skin for 20 minutes so that the connective tissue can soak up the released collagen.
While the skin absorbs, a mild occlusion is happening, producing a light warmth. This makes it possible for the connective tissue to be saturated with moisture. The soluble collagen keeps the tissue in natural elasticity. The skin is stimulated and the turgor is visibly improved. Collagen sheets regenerate the skin and counteract the formation of wrinkles.
